Hipdysplasia.

HD is a disorder in development of the hip-joints of the dog. This can be inheritable, but not necessarily. External factors like nutrition and excercise can also contribute to this .

In our Wheaten population there are no problems related to Hip Dysplasia, it is important to keep it this way. We are in favor of Hip Dysplasia tests. In many countries this is already mandatory. Which is why we made the following agreements:

The breeder or owner of a stud or bitch has to subject his dog to an HD test before using the animal for breeding.

If the results of these tests are HD-D or HD-E this dog has to be excluded from breeding.

With the result HD-C the dog is only allowed to be used for breeding in combination with a stud or bitch with the result HD-A.
